Welcome to the new Amateur Radio Club for the Benton County area!

D.A.R.K. is a special events amateur radio club which is partnered with the Benton County, MO ARES for emergency communications.

It shall be our purpose to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency, and to so conduct club programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in the community while transmitting from or educating about any dams our members should visit.

My name is Sam and I'm thrilled to finally have my General Class license (test passed October 14, 2017)! I logged my first HF contact on October 14, 2017, in the Arizona QSO Party! Thank you, AB7BB! My husband is KDØWXT and my daughter is KEØLMZ. I support the armed forces and first responders. I am the Deputy Director of the Benton County, MO Emergency Management Agency. I maintain the BC MO EM FB Page: and website: I was appointed the Emergency Coordinator for our local Benton County, MO ARES (Missouri, U.S.A.) on October 31, 2017. I run the BC ARES net every few Sunday nights (alternating with other group members) at 7 PM CST on 146.925 (–) PL 1Ø7.2. I maintain the Benton County, MO ARES Facebook page: and website: I completed Community Emergency Response Team training with the Camden County, MO CERT and became a team member on March 26, 2018. I serve as one of their financial officers as well as their public information officer, managing their website. I will be one of the trainers for the upcoming September 2018 Benton County, MO CERT training class. I manage the BC MO CERT FB group and webpage. I am Net Control for the Region A Healthcare Net. This is a net which tests the amateur radio backup communications system for healthcare facilities in MO Region A once per month. I have completed both online and in-seat SKYWARN training, as well as Radar Fundamentals and I am Spotter #4 for the Lake Area Storm Spotters. I hold the following FEMA certifications: IS-0029, IS-0042, IS-100b, IS-120, IS-200b, IS-230, IS-235b, IS-240, IS-241, IS-242, IS-244, ICS-300, IS-317, ICS-400, IS-700a, and IS-800b. I have completed the ARRL EC-001 course and completed CPR/AED/First Aid training for adults/children/infants on March 3, 2018.
