Making Progress!

Hello, everyone!

KE0LMY here!

As many of you know, it has been slow-going to establish ourselves as an amateur radio club.  I am so happy to announce that as of today, we are officially an ARRL affiliated club!  You can find our listing here.

I have sent in the paperwork to the ARRL for the request of our new club callsign and I am hoping everything will be smooth sailing from here!

Launching D.A.R.K. Magazine!

One of the things I am often called is “Overachiever” and I try my best to stand up to that title!  I love to create things I believe people will like and find interesting or entertaining.  When the idea for the publication came to me as we were forming D.A.R.K. back in April 2018, it was going to start out as a monthly newsletter.  It quickly grew into a full-blown magazine as I asked other hams in the club to get involved and contribute ideas!

I would like to thank Kelly Stanfield for writing her editorial this month.  Kelly has had a whirlwind of an adventure this year and wanted a platform to thank people who have helped her on her journey.  She had many more people she wanted to thank, but everyone wouldn’t fit in one article!  I am sure she will be writing more in the future!

I would also like to thank Renee Cason.  My daughter serves as my editor-in-chief for all things internet-related!  She also serves as the official photographer for D.A.R.K. and other groups!  You will see her all over the place while managing the Foxtrot’s Little Hams part of our club.

I would like to thank the Warrensburg Area Amateur Radio Club, Inc. and Sedalia-Pettis Amateur Radio Klub for allowing us to participate in ARRL Field Day in June of this year!  It was a fantastic experience and I look forward to working with these two great clubs in the future!

Finally, I would like to thank the affiliates we have made while working as the BC ARES.  It is my hope that these affiliates will welcome us as D.A.R.K., also!

Without further ado, click here to check out the new D.A.R.K. Magazine!

Introduction of Foxtrot’s Little Hams

Foxtrot's Little Hams Aesthetic Board

Welcome one and all! I’m Renee, secondary leader of Foxtrot’s Little Hams, behind Foxtrot himself! We’re a group that helps kids under eighteen years old get their ham radio licenses and we also help them get into the world of amateur radio!

We’re getting ready to do a lot of fun stuff around Halloween and Christmas time! Foxtrot and I are going to have costumes for Halloween, and we’ll be making gifts for Christmas for the rest of the D.A.R.K. group!

You can find the Foxtrot’s Little Hams page link to the left or click here!

That’s all for now! This is KE0LMZ, clear!
